Conservation Week 2019 – Use Kinder m8 for our environment

Kinder m8 New Zealand feels that if there were beauty contests for countries, Aotearoa would win hands down.
We are blessed to live in country where the beaches are mainly litter free, the bush is regenerating and brimming with birdlife and the oceans have an abundance of wonderful sea life. But, for how much longer?
We all need to be proactive and do our bit, however small, to protect New Zealand for our tamariki and future generations.
From September 14-22, 2019 it is Conservation Week a national celebration encouraging people to get involved with nature and help to take care of it.
There are many ways ECE centres can get involved in Conservation Week whether it is through activities such as native tree planting or litter collections.
However, what about everyday small changes in working practices that will also have a positive impact?
Our Kiwi day care centres are brilliant at recycling, reusing and avoiding things like plastic in daily activities but what about administrative, management and communication systems that cost the Earth?
Let’s have a look at how Kinder m8 helps your ECE centre help the environment.
How using Kinder m8 benefits the environment – Adopting a paperless system
A simple way to have a huge positive impact on the environment is through reducing paper consumption, by turning paper documents into electronic or digital ones.
On average, a tree can only produce 17 reams of paper and that takes about 100 years to grow.
Add to that the power used to manufacture paper, as well as the fuel used to deliver goods to an ECE centre and the carbon footprint is looking like a flock of giant moa.
By reducing paper usage, ECE centres can have a direct impact on their environment both for now and the future.
Kinder m8 allows kaiako to easily record learning stories, nappy changes, meals and many other aspects of the day of their tamariki with a cost-effective cloud-based system.
There’s no longer the need to use and store mountains of paper.
